1. Eliminating the shame and stigma currently attached to eating disorders and other mental illnesses. 2. Providing scholarships for eating disorders treatment. 3. Acting as a referral base for those seeking treatment. 4. Lobbying our representatives for increased NIH funding for eating disorders research, and improving coverage for psychiatric illness and ultimately achieving mental health parity. 5. Promoting health policy that supports recovery from eating disorders. |

| Artists Striving to End Poverty (ASTEP) uses the arts as a tool to empower poverty-stricken youth with creativity, knowledge, and a strong sense of self-esteem, factors which help them break the cycle of poverty in their communities and their own lives. At ASTEP we connect artists with poverty-stricken youth from around the world. The work we do serves as a network, a hub of opportunities for artists to use their gifts to create meaningful and effective change for young people in need. |
